OK, you're linking to a site in your genre. The site doesn't respond to your link request and further email reminders still produce no response. The site in question is of good quality, medium level PR and also related to your general theme.
Do you:
A. Delete the site, and send an auto email stating the site has been deleted?
or
B. Leave the site in your listings (for whatever reason)?

I take each on a case by case bases. If its a christian site most of the time I will leave it as part of my ministry to God and if its not then it depends on its value to others.

I leave them...sometimes. Sometimes it's more trouble for me to log in and keep them than to just let the system habdle it.

delete them and try re-adding them. Most webmasters probably respond quicker and more positively to new link exchange requests than the annoying "hey youre not linking to me" emails.

I think the answer probably depends on the nature of the link.
Did you post the link because you thought a reciprocal link would drive a lot of traffic to your site? Or did you post it because the linked site contained information of exceptional value to your site visitors.
If the latter, I'd leave it up. If the former, I'd delete it. But I would, as someone else in this thread suggested, make one more attempt to initiate a swap. Most of us, as in 99 percent, don't have full-time -- or even part time staff -- to work on our site and linking program. We do it when and if the rest of what constitutes our business allows ... so things, like a link request, can fall through the cracks.
