New Link Partners Response

We must be missing something with the New Link Partners Response as our Reponses Rate is dropping. Yet everyday we log into Link Manager and approve all reciprocating links that have our link on their site.

Are we demoted for waiting for reciprocation before approving or denial?

If so, what can we do to still obtain high Response Rates and yet force reciprocation before approving or denying a link request.

Please contact the LinksManager Helpdesk and ask them to escalate to an engineer who can review your site's response times to make sure we dont have any lingering bugs.

Please keep in mind that the only link exchanges that will affect your ResponseRank is when another LM user initiates a request with your site via Search for LinkPartners.

Since the other site is a LinksManager user as well your link should be posted fairly quickly to their site after it regenerates and uploads. You shouldn't have to wait too long for the reciprocation.

If the reciprocation is taking too long then it is possible that the other LinksManager user has something wrong with their FTP. Hence why your link still hasn't been found on their site.

In this situation we recommend just deleting the pending link. This will prevent your ResponseRank from lowering and send a message to the other user that something could be wrong.

Your ResponseRank is *not* affected by regular links that come from your Add Link page from non-LinksManager users. You can treat these links normally.

So if you get the emailer saying another user initiated a link swap via *LinkPartners* and you see they are still not reciprocating after a day or two I would suggest either deleting their request or contacting the other webmaster from their site to inquire why your link is not posted yet.
