I'd like to direct more traffic to my link partners and suggest ways they can get more traffic to me.
Beyond putting a "Links" link on my menubar, does anyone have any suggestions on steering people to a links page? The goal is to avoid cluttering my home page and content pages with links but still generate traffic for my partners.
Thanks.

You could have a resources pages on your menu bar if you dont like the term "links" in it, you could have various resources pertaining to your business, like for my stock related site, Im going to have an investment calculator, books related to my topic, articles etc. On that pages put a link to your links page and maybe a comment about how great the links are. You can also have a link in your content whenever its appropriate if you wanted to direct them to the resources page, like "and if you like the idea of learning about that topic, check out the resources page for some book ideas on the subject." Things like that will direct them to your resources page. Then on that page, make a big deal about your link page. Or you can even have your links be at the bottom of all of those resources on that same page.

That's a great idea ... I like the word "resources."
Are there any advantages or disadvantages of putting up a traditional "links" (or resources) page as opposed to spreading the links out across the bottom of several pages?
I can see certain end-user benefits to having links specific to certain content on the pages containing that content, but I don't know if that would negatively effect SEO rankings relative to grouping all the site's links to together.
Thanks, again.

I had a "duh" moment when I read this. This seems like such a good idea. I can't see what kind of negative impact it would have (but I'm no SEO expert, for sure). But if it's all about adding content and links that will be of interest to your visitors, StockTrader's idea seems to be perfect.
