I'm sure you've all noticed the amount of spammers that are only here to link drop and move on in a weak attempt to gain a backlink, exposure or some other nefarious purposes.

I noticed you guys are using vB 3.6.3 and there is a mod available that helps keep this crap out of the forums called Prevent Spam (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=131568).

I actually use it at Lifesupporters and it's great because the spam goes into a queue that only staff can see and can be dealt with behind the scenes leaving your forums clean; the part that google sees anyway. The nice thing is you get to ban these tards right off the bat and fortunately enough they've left an e-mail address, IP and username which can also be used against them in the even of re-registering (which they usually do).

Anyway I just thought I'd mention it because there's nothing more frustrating than bots and/or ignorant spamtards.

...unfortunately however it does not catch all forms of spam as you can plainly see

Duke,

No worries. We haven't added the Prevent Spam module yet. The administrators wanted to try a Captcha version first. Until then we remain vigilant in fighting spam on our forum.

wow I didn't thought that it is possible for you guys to capture or filter spams in here. I am impressed on the way they handle this kind of issues.

I think I know what he means. It's because in other forums, most admins would have given up in trying to get rid of spammers.
