I know this is going to sound dumb, but I have forgotten how to ask a site listed in Link Partners for a reciprocal link.

I've been using Link Partners for about two years but have not made a request in over a year. I was getting all the links request I wanted but now have listed a new site and need to initiate some myself.

Thanks.

Not a dumb question at all.
I'm brand new to link partners and awaiting the answer to your question...

Sarge & Chevythunder,

Since you are LinkPartners members you can search for other sites to swap links with and have your site listed in the directory.

Anyone can initiate a link request with you by contacting you directly which you would do with them as well. http://linkpartners.com/faq/5.html#3

LinksManager users have more advanced features to automate the exchange and to handle other things like email notifications.

If you are exchanging links with a site and want them to reciprocate back to your site the best thing to do is simply ask the other webmaster to link back to your site.

If you are exchanging relevant links they shouldn't have any problems adding your links to their site. We cannot force anyone to link with anyone else.

We always recommend that if the site is important and beneficial to your end user to consider linking to them even if they don't link back.

A reciprocal link back is nice and fairly standard now on the Internet.

Hopefully this information helps to answer your questions. If you need further help or have other questions please post them.

Phil

Phil,

Thank you for the reply. I had already figured out about the direct contact and the LinksManager membeship thing. Sorry for not updating this thread.

I'm in the same situation. When I used Linkpartners a few years back, you could request to be linked to someone right through this site. Now you have to find their e-mail address on their page? Is that right?
(Either that or pay for Link Manager)

6. I am NOT a LinksManager.com customer. How do I find swap partners and request reciprocal links using LinkPartners.com?
From our search page, you can either search for link swap partners, or browse websites using the alphabetical categories listed. When you see the results of your search, you can click on the website's name or screenshot to navigate to their website and links pages in a new browser window.

Then, you must determine how that website's webmaster wants to swap links with you. He/she may have a Add Link form to fill out, or perhaps they only provide an email address to contact them at.

If you do not have a LinksManager account, it is a manual process and you will have to locate the add link form and fill it out, or contact the webmaster via his or her email address or contact form on their website.
