Where are my settings ??

Sorry if this is not the correct place for this question.

I have an Auto based website and it can be seen in my signature.
I just signed up and got approved on LinkPartners:cool: . I have recived 4 linkup request in 2 days but they are from sites not in line with mine, Ex, home & gardens, Real estate,,,,etc.

Two questions

1) Should I be concerned with what the other link requesting sites are all about or should I keep it strictly geared towards sites of other interests?
I would think the more the better to help my PR rating (but what do I know, i'm a car guy new to computers and website building)


2) If I should focus on site of similar interest where are the settings to control this?

Harry,

If your main concern is PR, stick with sites that are relitive to yours. i.e. auto parts, auto accessories, travel by car, etc.

To set the "limits" on which sites you want links to and from, log in to LinkPartners. When you're in, click on the first yellow box labeled "Click". This will open the page where you set your preferences.

But keep in mind, this is not foolproof. Anybody can still ask for a swap, the preferences only let folks know what you want. They do not have to honor your preferences.

Is they an automated system I can use to request link exchanges with sites of simialr interests or do I have to search and request them manually?

Not sure, but I think you have to "join", become a paying member, to use the automated features. With the free account you have to make the contacts yourself thru the other site's link page or contact page. (I always make sure I tell them I found them on LinkPartners anyway.)
