How to get more visitors

I have benn trying to get more members to my site but it isnt working. Can someone help me to get more members?

Welcome to the forum Project.

First you should add a signature to your profile that has a link to your website. That way people can get to your site from your posts. Without a web address to go to no one will find you.

Secondly you will want to start exchanging links with other relevant sites. This way you can 'share' traffic with related sites and the search engines will give you credit for linking to relevant sites by increasing your rankings.

Why don't you host a contest. People love prices. It doesn't need to be something expensive but must be worthwhile.

Try offering incentives for posting in your forum; give them a trial product, offer a little free advertising, give them a link on the main page, allow them to post their website in the main forum, etc. It is amazing how the quantity and quality of posts increases after you offer even the slightest free incentive. NO. the first think is Content. If you have good content on your blog/site -- the design etc. doesn't matter.

blog has to be popular before hosting contests... otherwise you might not get the expected response.

by all means possible, advertise your site, like in this forum you can put the link to your site on your signature or other means you can think of
also do it when you join other forums, promote the site, but make sure it does not appear like spam, or people will simply look down on it or avoid it
also, the content to your site must be good enough to draw interest, remember that people will want to visit sites that are helpful or entertaining

I totally agree ! You have to offer your visitors something different. Giving them a trial of your product will be a great way to introduce your unique product to them and show them that you have more to offer as well.
